Our Curriculum
Our residents get anesthesia exposure early in training.
We believe early exposure to the field is important so we have integrated a curriculum that builds skillsets for residents inside and outside the operating room. To smoothen transition, CBY residents are offered protected time during their off-service rotations to start the first case of the day every Wednesday morning by reviewing the patient, discussing anesthetic plan the night before, room set-up, and finally starting the case with oversight.

Didactics/Workshops
Formal lecture series is held every Wednesday at 6:30 AM until 8:00 AM, and the entire program is present, including off-service interns. This time is protected and comprises of guest lectures from local/regional institutions as well as across the globe. We hear about the practice of Anesthesiology in different settings, listening to world leaders in the field discuss their research, pathway, and their vision for the future of the field. In addition, this series is meant to review basic and advanced concepts that are applicable to OR. We also hold workshops during this time and get hands-on training for how to set up a ventilator machine from scratch, POCUS, regional techniques, and much more!
